New Forms of Interaction

As a part of Brooklyn Research's first Summer Research Group, my team created two novel gaming controllers: the PulpPad and conROLLER.

This year's team includes Nicole Cabalquinto (CUNY - City Tech, BS), Huiyi Chen (NYU - ITP, MPS 2019), Kathy Ching (NYU - IDM, BS 2020), and Nick Wallace (NYU - ITP, MPS 2019). Together they talk about their 12 week session at Brooklyn Research during which they explored new forms of interaction and game control including the use of commonplace kitchen appliances and tools as gaming interfaces.
